Pulling the bimaxillary protrusion backwards while leaving the chin and maxilla at the same place would give the illusion of more projected chin.

That's precisely the point of retraction in this case.
Users here fearmongering over "extractions" and "retraction" because they sound scary is stupid and autistic.
You can't retract the teeth without extractions btw since bimaxillary protrusion is something you're born with.
