I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and it’s obvious how many people frame self improvement around women. That mindset is already a failure state. If your motivation is external validation, you’ve accepted that your value is determined by someone else's standard. In my case I don’t want improve myself because I want a girl, I improve because I'm not content with the current version of myself. The only consistent outcome of improvement is that you become objectively better: more capable, more disciplined, more aligned with your own standards. The Right mindset isn’t “if I improve, someone will want me.” It’s “I will improve because stagnation is unacceptable.” If girls don't want you after you still win because you’re no longer the person you hated being.
“He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.”
