Should I play fallout for the first time ?

Seeing the popularity of the show, should i try playing fallout ? And if so, which game i should start first, fallout 3, fallout new vegas ?

I loved 3 more than new Vegas, maybe it’s a nostalgia thing but I replayed 3 and loved it recently, also tried to play new Vegas (never really played it too much) but didn’t even enjoy it that much. Couldn’t even progress the main quest because u need 1,000 caps to even get into the casino area which you definitely would’nt have if you’re playing the story consistently at a normal rate

1/2 are isometric. They have good stories and soundtracks. 3/4/Vegas/76 have more freedom in the sense that you can play it like an FPS game. Also, character creation and insane mod support

my friend already has fallout new vegas and fallout 4 with the dlcs in his family sharing steam thing so i technically dont need to buy the games at all

I also love old games. I just finished MGS2-MGS3 and i even like old rare games like Manhunt or so.

With that being said they still felt old to me, especially 3 in which you couldn't even sprint.
