I'm really desperate for some advice on this
I've been taking a stack consisting of
- NAC 700mg a day
- MSM 800mg a day
- Vitamin C 1000mg a day
for over 2 months now for skin whitening purposes.
I wanna say that these really fixed my acne problem and also with the hyperpigmentation due to its melanin surpressing properties and the anti oxidative effect all of these have.
Then I recently came across this thread
to summarize their problem, it's said that NAC kills natural collagen and low quality vitamin C does so too (apparently through depletion of zinc)
As y'all probably understand I'm not really too keen on fucking my entire collagen/- and production for no apparent reason whatsoever with little skin lightening results and literally getting saggy skin lmao.
While researching I also just realized that purely for anti oxidative and skin whitening purposes I could simply switch out my entire regimen for Liposmal Glutathione and maybe throw Astaxanthin in there too.
I still have like 200 Capsules of NAC and a shit ton of Vitamin C and would really like someone that's smarter and more experienced than me to help me understand if these really cause problems with collagen loss and if i should be concerned about that and if I should just simply switch my entire regimen for Liposmal Glutathione 1000mg a day and Astaxanthin 18mg a day to maybe even get better results.
If so I would immediately stop my NAC and Vit C supplementation and get onto the new stack.
BTW I am half Korean half Turkish with jet black curly hair and I know for a fact that pale skin (used to and) would most definetly suit me better than my current slight yellow-ish coloring so please don't try to talk me out of lightening it.
(idek how I got my current skin tone, I'm scared it might be my liver malfunctioning but I've already had blood work done and my billirubin is actually in the normal range so please help me on that too!!)

Does NAC accelerate aging or decelerate? (𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝒊𝒒 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒔 𝒋𝒐𝒊𝒏)
If you are taking N-Acetyl cysteine (NAC), you should be taking 600mg x 2 daily. It is good for its role in antioxidant production. Along with two other amino acids — glutamine and glycine — NAC is necessary to make and replenish glutathione. I have noticed that after taking this for many...
