SSRI use in puberty

Can the use of ssri’s actually affect growth and hormones during puberty? i’ve heard mixed opinions and i want to try and find something for social anxiety/high inhib that’ll work and obviously ssri’s are recommended but i don’t have much of an idea of what they really do to your hormones etc
 
They dont directly add or block hormones like estrogen, test, or gh. However serotonin interacts with systems that influence hormones, appetite, sleep, and stress, so indirect effects are possible. I suggest not take em, they dont even work for everyone and there are risks, such as dementia, 14% higher risk of heart attacks and strokes and a 33% greater risk of death

is it better to take something like pregab?
