Cardio is the main problemHe's half right and half wrong
The bodybuilding vs powerlifter routine explains this better; (most bodybuilders can't outstrength a bloated powerlifter which is what 99% of dudes look like)
Most gymcels eat like shit too (little to no focus on micronutrients) and overstress the CNS with extremely heavy weights
Fitness is not cope. But it has to be moderate, and also focus on cardio
Most gymcels have shit flexibility + shit cardio + bloated all for the sake of benching 260 lbs and shouting 'we go jim'. Its borderline pathetic.
It feels so good tho'. I think running is very natural. Hunting n stuff innit. I always felt like running after taking magic mushrooms and they seem to bring me closer to nature.Cardio is the main problem
I like it as well but it’s just endorphins take kratom Ull get the same effectIt feels so good tho'. I think running is very natural. Hunting n stuff innit. I always felt like running after taking magic mushrooms and they seem to bring me closer to nature.
This. Marathon runners age worse than any roid abuserCardio is the main problem
Running is natural in the sense that in nature you'd do it to hunt down an animal or run away from one, which would not necessarily be an everyday occurrence and would be most comparable to HIIT. Running everyday on mid intensity for no reason is what sv3rige's criticising (how marathon runners train for example), it puts unnecessary strain on your heart, will make you lose muscle over time, etc.It feels so good tho'. Yeah marathon runners look like shit.Running is natural in the sense that in nature you'd do it to hunt down an animal or run away from one, which would not necessarily be an everyday occurrence and would be most comparable to HIIT. Yeah, exercise should either be low intensity like walking or really high intensity but in intervals. Anything else is a major scam, especially so called mid intensity.Yeah marathon runners look like shit.
Walking mogs all other forms of exercise.
What I don't understand by this line of reasoning is, if one shouldn't strength train, then how are you supposed to stay in shape? Having enough muscle mass is very important for healthy testosterone levels e.g. Maybe the advocates for this philosophy means that it's better to have naturally strong muscles and look ripped without working out, but for the vast majority of people this just isn't realistic.
Like @infini wrote, I don't think goatis practices what he preaches in this instance. I've seen his physique and it is not attainable without exercise unless perhaps if you take a lot of steroids, but I don't see him promoting that either. Something just doesn't add up here.
I definitely think exercise can be taken too far and done in excess, so there probably is some wisdom to be learned from the video. It resonated with me pretty well actually. Listen to your body and mind. Don't torture yourself trying to achieve some insanely high standard of effort. Life is too short to become a slave to the expectations of others or even to yourself.
