Im planning to swim three times a week is there any tips to protect my hair and skin i heard its pretty bad for hair since it dried the oils

bro no one would care go to a olympic pool i used to do compeitive swimming and in most olympic pools its mandatory to wear swimming caps dont go to a random public pool thats made for fun olympic pools are better its 50m long

You shouldn't worry about your hair, I've done swimming for the past 6 years and the biggest problem I've faced was the chlorine fucking up your skin (specifically on your face area)

by "stick" your talking about if your hair would be sticky after swimming? If you are then no your hair won't be sticky that's for sure, long term swimming does dry it out (based on what chlorine the pool uses) so if you want to figure out if you should use a swimming cap or not, ask what chlorine they use.

Just wear a good sun screen and get those cloth swim caps, should protect the hair from the chlorine. The silicone swim caps are alright as well but they give me a headache so I just wear the cloth caps and just take a shower without any shampoo or conditioner(because these usually strip away the oils too and leave the hair dry and frizzy)

nah u dont have to shampoo every day and i highly discourage doing that, however, it would be wise to get a scalp-cleansing type shampoo and just using a small bit massaged into only your scalp post-swim in chlorine. (followed by moisturizing conditioner ofc)

Shampoo does strip the oils off your hair tho, I personally just take a shower after every swimming session. The damage is minimal tho so you might as well not worry about it.
