What do you think would be the effects of this?

Thyroid hormone supplementation can be effective for a multitude of health benefits but also scary and sometimes dangerous.

What would be the benefits? Is it worth it at 18 to experiment at a mininal dosage then go up slowly?

Far lower risk of degenerative diseases like diabetes, high cholesterol, cancer, etc.
Better cognition, proper hormone synthesis, like this study finds, better physical development (less bodyfat, probably more muscle mass) to name a few.

Maybe, if you do, you should approach it (T3 and T4, T3 solely may lead to undesirable effects like heart palpitations) very methodically with very minimal dosages (less than 5mg in a well-fed state)

Ray Peat is a good resource, if not the best, when it comes to this scenario and theory.

Danny roddy on youtube also talks about your thyroid playing an important part in preventing hair loss aswell as maintaining good general health. The thyroid is so important and no one ever talks about it besides fatties who blame their terrible eating habits on a thyroid function.

Heard T3 decreases muscle mass though, while I was researching its fat burning effects versus that of Clenbuterol.

Might need to find a source for T4 in that case

Possibly due to inadequate nutrition/carbohydrates since thyroid hormone increases those requirements.

I've used Cynoplus, seems fine.
Will definitely look into that.
Do you think it would be smart to do this, with bi-monthly bloodwork?

And would it have any effect on general masculinity and development, considering the study on androgen receptor increase?

It's something to consider if you've done thorough research and, yeah, TSH can be of decent use.

Probably, not sure.

That's not necessarily true. Taking too much liothyronine or T3 can put you in a catabolic state and may actually result in loss of muscle mass. It's commonly known among competitive bodybuilders who, despite using supraphysiological doses of anabolic drugs, have been reporting loss of lean mass pre-contest due to liothyronine use

Yeah, this is considering you're adequately fed on a reasonable dose, so, indeed, your bodily change can go both ways; anabolism, or catabolism.

One should also keep in mind the supraphysiological doses bodybuilders use as well.

shouldbt you just take iodine and selenium?

imassuming supplementing iodine makes your thyroid peoduce more t4, and t4 gets converted into t3 in the liver with the help of selenium, ap taking a iodine + selenium supplement is begter since its cheaper, and your body regulates the amount it needs amd uses the materials it has

Those are necessary minerals for thyroid function, yes, but excessive iodine is counter-intuitively thyroid damaging.

i didnt know about bodybuilders losing muscle mass on t3, interesting. would have to fact check but, if true, the only explanation i can think of is lack of enough calories/glycogen on already restrictive diets , leading to catabolic stress hormones to break down muscle tissue and use it for energy. its not just miserable, its counter productive - thyroid hormone in combination with both enough calories and actual nutrients, is propably the most androgenic anabolic combo there is while keeping you shredded, the thyroid gland is literally the master regulator of your entire metabolism from all i understand at least, that includes cellural mechanisms not just how fat loss and muscle gain.

Studies show that about more than 1mg for an extensive period of time can increase your risk for thyroiditis, iirc
1 drop is 1/20th of a ml so i think im good i only use like 4 drops max

oh and t4 therapy in isolation is mostly big pharma ignorance and lies, t3 is the actually active hormone the majority of the time, you need low stess hormones to convert it to t3, and hypothyroidism is already a state of high cortisol/ estrogen/prolactin/serotonin etc. its a vicious cycle where unconverted t4 accumulates if you overdo it and can even end up being anti thyroid, t4 and t3 combo therapy moggs but t3 alone arguably moggs the most, but ofc t4 is the standard "care" cause a healthy patient is a costumer lost, all this shit is like the most basic endocrinology, at least it should have been
