Like many of you, I have extreme social anxiety and am in a depressive state.
It started out manageable in high school and was in middle school as I would still somewhat talk to people but would get extremely scared and would calculate whatever I would say.
Any time I got a negative feedback I wouldn’t talk for some days and I didn’t have a girlfriend or went to a single party once.
Anyways, fast forward to university this has gotten much worse. I barely even am able to eat because I’m extremely afraid of sitting in a public dining by myself and often just buy groceries to make food in my dorm.
Recently I found a park/forest program near my university. I go by myself and sometimes I help out removing invasive species from the woods and it really calms me down. After, I’ll grab a bite to eat and take a walk.
Just take some time out of your day to find something you genuinely enjoy doing instead of rotting on here.
Now, I’m not saying abandon your responsibilities and solely do what makes you happy because that would be unfeasible for most.
Just remember there is more to experiencing your life than what you look like. Self improvement is great, but don’t let it overwhelm you. If you can’t have a top percentile face and a great social life, just live for yourself and do what you can that makes you happy.
Just realized this entire thread is water for most people but thought I’d post it anyway
