What is CRISPR:
CRISPR technology functions like a pair of molecular scissors and a genetic pen, enabling precise modifications to the DNA code of living organisms. Inspired by bacteria's natural defence mechanisms against viruses, CRISPR allows scientists to cut, edit, and rewrite specific DNA sequences with exceptional accuracy. This revolutionary tool has profound implications in various fields, such as medicine and agriculture.

How CRISPR works:
Basically you swallow a pill and in this pillnow engineered crops that are drought resistant aswell as apple that do not go brown and people have remove lactose intolerant genes from themeselves. This CRISPR technology is very promising. A bit of a side tangent here but it is there is a virus. This virus has been genetically engineered in a lab (This is what CRISPR is) and when you consume the virus it will start editing certain DNA in your body and has the ability to remove certain DNA and replace it will the new DNA that has been provided.

With the Use of CRISPR scientist have possible for you to genetically engineering and clone dogs so I am very certain but this technology probably wont be release to humans due to "ethical concerns" :lul: .

Anyways back to CRISPR, there has been a breakthrough in the field (happened a couple of years ago) but some lab in China has now been able to use this technology to genetically edited human embryos. Now you can have Chad sons. There is hope, it is not over yet.

It’s gonna be over for the new generation tho since only the rich will edit their genes and will all look like models

There will be no way to compete with some 6’5 artificial model tier nigga

The only way to edit your genes is to reproduce with a stacy

This will fail lol. Your understanding of human genetics is very very flawed.

Biggest issue is how complex genes are. There was a case in China and I think they suffered some issues with it long term. They tried to edit a really simple defect but it was tied to multiple other genes ended up causing more issues then doing nothing. Even if imperfect human genes are very complex and somehow still work so even changing a minor thing could have unforeseen consequences. It might work well though for solving really simple genetic defects where its a single gene like cystic fibrosis. But with traits like IQ there are hundreds of genes influencing it indirectly. People really think genes are as simple as editing one line in our code. As if you could just change one gene and have everyone with it be 150 IQ. If that were the case humans would not be so different in phenotypes

What seems more likely though are preselection births (basically a sperm can be chosen with better odds of certain traits you could also pretty much eliminate any chromosome defects) also you could screen a woman's eggs for any damage to better the childs odds. This is especially true for older couples as the odds of a damaged sperm or egg is literally hundreds of times higher in your 30s vs 20s

This will never ever ever work because we are trying to play God and playing God has not and will not ever work for humanity. It is not a winning strategy

Lets say this works and everyone is able to make them perfect , what is now considered attractive ( stacies and chads n shit) will be considered average still much better than being incel sub 5 but won't be as good as we expect.
Goes also without sating that this shit will prob takes decades to work lol

It is actually very hard to be both knowledgable and compassionate at the same time. Especially when you know enough to detect falsities but not know almost everything to have a very concise answer when you get asked "Well what do YOU think then Mr. Einstein?"

CRISPR has been out for a while. If I recall correctly, the biggest issue is that we a. don't know exactly which genes to edit, b. we aren't sure what effects editing certain genes have.

There's the possibility that to affect height by any significant amount you'd have to edit hundreds of genes which collectively are responsible for adult height.

So, it's not as straightforward as it would seem. Gene editing right now is more relevant for unborn embryos than it is for us humans already out of the womb.

this shit will create cancer tumors all over the place.....the "edited" kids will die at like 5 due to tumors popping up 🤦‍♂️
