Buddhism began 2,500 years when some Indian dude figured out some stuff and told other people about it.
  • Life inherently involves suffering
  • Suffering arrives from craving and attachment, desires for pleasure, existence, and non-existence
How to end suffering (According to Buddhism)
  • Cultivate positive states of mind
  • Earn a living Ethically
  • Avoid Harm
  • Cultivate wholesome desires that lead to inner peace, through meditation
Buddhism is good cope, minus the spiritual beliefs.

I can never forget when that one rich indian influencer from america went to an indian monk in india, and this dude told him to go back to the states and earn the money.

They basically told him to let them cope in peace.

"You have nothing to search for here bc you have material posessions anyway, we don't so we have to cope"

imho.

Suffering is desiring what you don't have.

If you have it, you're good.

I think it's good to work towards goals, but not to be too focused on them because that creates more suffering.
