Introduction
A few weeks ago, I made a post about hollow cheeks. In this post I mentioned using an ultrasound cavitation device for face fat loss. I have received plenty of questions about it since I made that post so I decided to make a guide.
Firstly let me point out that UC isn't exactly the safest thing in the world. Risks include:
Deafness
Blindness
Skin damage
Asymmetry
Burns
Thyroid damage
And more
But, as long as you aren't mentally retarded, (which I have witnessed a few people on here being so) and you do your research, you will be fine.
This guide is a how to, not a post explaining the science or how it really works. If you want that, see here:
https://looksmax.org/threads/ultrasound-cavitation-uc-non-surgical-alternative-to-bfr.1688103/
To sum it up, UC works by creating bubbles in fat that cause the fat to melt into a fluid, that you can then drain through your lymphatic system. It goes through the skin, and works without high heat.
Again, please use this at your own risk.
STEP 1: FINDING YOUR MACHINE
There are quite a few machines out there, and plenty are fake. What we want is a 35-40K hz Ultrasound cavitation machine. This is the one I use.
I believe the cheaper one from this brand works well also.
Whatever machine you buy, you will want to test to see it really works, so here's how:
STEP 2: TESTING YOUR MACHINE IS REAL
Simply drop a few drops of water on the head of the machine and turn it on, to see if the water turns into mist. This shows that it's a real ultrasound. Here is an example:
If you don't see this exact result, I've got bad news.
STEP 3: GEL
Now we need to find and test a gel to use. The gel is EXTREMELY important, not only what type but how much of it you use. If you don't use enough gel, you can very easily burn your skin, and I'm speaking from experience. I burnt the fuck out of my cheeks on my second session, because I didnt use enough gel.
Now, it's recommended, however not required, to use ultrasound gel. For some reason I can't get any in my country, so I'm forced to use an alternative. I personally use aloe vera gel, and it works fine.
If you are like me and can't get ultrasound gel, you can test to see if your gel works.
The method I use is putting a layer of the gel on the head of my machine, then wrapping the head with foil, so the gel is in between the foil and the smooth chrome head of the machine. Next, place the machine with the gel and foil into a container or bowl of water, and hold it there for a few seconds. ensure the machine doesn't touch the bottom of the container. After turning the machine on, almost immediately holes will form in the foil. If you dont see any holes, your gel is fucking the ultrasound up, so try a different gel.
STEP 4: MASKING.
It's also very important to mask areas of your face off, so you are only hitting the target area. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP.
Hit any bone on your face too long? serious risk of losing your hearing forever.
Hit the wrong nerve? Blindness.
Hit your third area? It's over.
Mask all the bony areas on your face (eg zygos, mandable), and mask off your neck.
You can create a mask by using a layer of thin card like that from a cereal box. and taping it to your face. If tested, it does block cavitation. Test yourself with the tine foil method I mentioned above,
In my first session, I didn't mask off any areas and I had bad hearing damage for a week or so.
STEP 5: THE PROCEDURE
Prior to beginning, I recommend drinking about 2L of water an hour beforehand.
Start by applying a generous amount of gel to your desired area. Next you want to power on your device to its lowest setting. I recommend you use the lowest setting on your first session to see how you react. Then going to no more than 4/5 strength on additional sessions. Glide the device across your area of choice, ensuring not to hit any bones. Once the machine comes into contact with your skin it will sound much louder due to the vibration. The closer you go to a bone, the louder it gets, so try to keep the machine as quiet as possible.
I personally do 15 minutes on my left cheek, then 15 on the right, followed by 15 on my submental region.
Make sure the machine doesn’t overheat, you will probably have to stop and reapply the gel every 5 minutes.
Also ensure you are always moving the device, don’t hold it in one spot as this can cause bad damage to your face.
STEP 6: POST PROCEDURE
Now this step is where I see most people go wrong. A lot of people don’t realise that what you do after, and what you don’t do, can cause the process to not work at all, and cause you to miss out on all of the results
As I mentioned earlier, UC turns fat into a fluid that gets drained out of your lymphatic system. If you don’t help this process significantly, the fat will restore in the same place.
So here’s how you actually drain the fluid.
Start by doing all the usual things you would to debloat. Cardio, sauna, drinking loads of water, lots of potassium ect.
Another great trick is to slightly raise the top of your bed, so it’s on an angle, that way you drain more fluid in your sleep. I’ve also noticed this keeps you from being as bloated first thing in the morning so i recommend this for everyone.
However the most important thing is what you eat following the procedure. To get maximum results, eat as little carbs as possible.
I personally take this further by fasting for around 35 hours after every session.
Keep in mind I do UC once a week, as an aggressive approach. So for example if I do UC on a Monday night, I won’t eat until Wednesday afternoon. This is unrealistic for most people, but lean is law, right?
I have a decent amount of muscle, completely natural, and I still am gaining muscle despite only eating 6 days a week, so don’t worry about becoming catabolic.
I am also MOSTLY on a carnivore diet, so this would also help ALOT as I have an extremely low carb intake.
Another tip is to use a gua sha. Yes, I know it’s usually bullshit, but it does help for our goal of draining fluid from the face. You can also just use your hands and replicate the motion.
Conclusion
UC can be risky. But it also does give results. real, studied, results. Remember, this gets rid of FAT. Not fluid, if you are just bloated then you are wasting your time and money. I also believe UC should be considered near the last option. Try for at least a year to lose fat normally. If you are morbidly obese obviously it won’t work. This is for people who have unfortunate fat storage genetics. I personally, am very lean, as I said eat basically only meat, have very visible abs and veins on biceps and shoulders ect, yet still have fat in my face. This is because everyone stores fat differently, we’ve all seen super fat people with a lean face, it's just luck of the draw, like most things to do with looks.
Ive also found a funny way to see around how much fat still remains in your face, because remember, if you are very ressesed, no matter how much fat you lose you wont get a good ogee curve, so If you think you have face fat because you dont have an ogee curve, I guess you could to this trick to see if you are fat or not.
simply get a air gun and blow the air on your cheeks, like this,
As you can see. ive got a bit to go.
At the time of this post I have done 4 sessions, all one week apart, and seen great results.
I do UC because nothing else works, and it’s also legal, unlike importing fat dissolvers (at least in my country).
Please be careful using UC, as the risks are certainly very real.
Best of luck to everyone.
