After the louvre heist, it was found that $102M worth of jewelery has been stolen in 7 minutes.

It was a 4 man operation, 2 people in the truck, 2 going inside. Funny thing is, this was NOT a well thought out, movie-like heist.

These guys literally just dressed up in vests, got a truck with an extension ladder, and got in without questions under the pretext that "they were doing construction work"

While inside, they originally planned to use grinders to get the jewelery from the hard glass, but it proved stubborn, so instead they rammed into the glass for a few minutes untill it finally gave in.

Apparently the security was watching them the entire time, but decided to not intervene and wait for the police to show up. The men got out seconds before the police got there and to this day haven't been found, and it's suspected that the jewelery has already been scrapped or sold.

This is probably one of the simplest heists in the last years, they took the "you can do anything with vests" meme and stole 100 million bucks with it

Astounding. You'd think there'd be alot of security measures in place, but it's all just for show. Just wear vests.

I've heard a meme about wearing a suit and carrying a clipboard to get into concert venues before. Just act like you belong theory.

They explained it by saying that they didn't know whether the robbers were armed or not. But judging from how it played out i doubt they even were lmao.

Yes, it's like stealing candy from a supermarket, the best method is to walk in and take it without thinking about it.

Yes, nobody will buy straight up jewelery because they're famous pieces that would instantly get flagged.

The robbers would need to scrap and melt down the metals and resources and only then sell them, which then means it's possible to do so.

What does that matter? If security is watching them, they can easily draw first and shoot if the robbers try to draw a gun in response. Surely they carry guns...

They actually don't, the museum security isn't permitted to carry firearms.

The anti-terrorist team patrolling outside the museum does, but that's about it.

Can't take that long to call them and have them come in if they're patrolling just outside the museum.

No clue why it wasn't an option, they waited for the police instead.

It's not even brought up online, so maybe it's common sense but I'm too low IQ to know :feelshah:

I doubt, having such famous pieces in your possession right after a robbery totally isn't suspicious :hnghn:
