God’s creation of good and evil assumes his free will
If humans too have free will, we are as if God
But what if neither does?
The placement of God above humanity relieves the burden of contemplation

Teleology may be necessary
In order to sedate the lack of inherent narrative
And project unto it a directional purpose, justified by a self referential arrangement of existence

Do we then fear not death because of its unknown?
For the pursuit of primal absolution through stagnancy in life but not in death is paradoxical
The potential of pain and pleasure reside equally in both. And in death, possibly, the removal of such valuations
So then is the continuation of life an anticipation of discovery?
Perhaps an attempt to reconcile the fragmentation of conscious existence through a discovered foundation of purpose
Then, it is futile
Deluded in its nature
But how can it not be?

It sounds like you’re exploring whether free will, purpose, and fear of death are real or just comforting illusions. A short answer could be:

We create purpose because existence feels incomplete without it. Whether or not God or free will truly exist, the search itself gives life meaning — even if that meaning is ultimately self-made and transient.

God can't be omnibenevolent and omniscient and also give us free will

He would know that our creation would lead to some of us not believing and therefore sending us to hell for that isn't very loving
