Tipped molars

Hey guys, according do Dr. Ting in his interview with Ronald Ead. Tipping the molars outwards can cause the face to look longer and inversely tipping them back inwards and making them upright can cause drastic changes to facial height. Is this true? He starts talking about it around 10:30
I currently have had the MSE for almost 6 months with ting. Got around 70 turns before one of the screws broke unfortunately.
