At this point everyone knows that corticosteriods and latisse can thin the skin on the nose, and thin the nose tip in general.
But how does this work? what is the mechanism that causes the thinning??

Corticosteriods reduce inflammation, and thus decrease collegen synthesis in the skin

Bimatoprost (lattisse) has also been shown to thin the skin of the nose

and it works by reducing pressure in the eye.

If only there was a drug that
1. Lowers inflamation
2. decreases blood pressure
3. has a reputation for thinning skin.

ASPIRIN

Aspirins main mechanism of action is to block an enzyme that causes inflammation, therefore lowering inflammation.
It also lowers blood pressure, and there are reports that using oral aspirin can thin the skin over time.

There is a problem though...

Aspirin is usually taken orally, and therefore the skin thinning results are present throughout which is not good, we want topical results specifically on the nose tip.

But topical aspirin does exist and apparently is effective in reducing inflammation

Also, there apparently exists a community that uses topical aspirin to help with inflammatory acne.
Aspirins effects on acne seem more promising then its potential for nose thinning.

Thoughts??

Compared to corticosteriods, there is probably a lot less inflammation reduction.
is this water?

salicylic acid (aspirin without the acetyl group) is used for acne, but no evidence it can thin the nose. Just use aqualyx if bulbous nose, one of Nordic friends will try that soon. If he does ill post results he has quite a bulbous base with narrow bridge

aqualyx works by melting the fat deposits in the nose right? which lemonbottle can probably do too. Thick skin on the nose tip is still also an area that can be inproved on because fat deposits are only so big.
