Training obliques is worth it, not just rectus abdominis + parts of obliques with sit-ups/crunches/leg-hip raises but obliques too, especially the lower V-line with rotation. Many guys cope this muscle group is ugly but this is COPE women love well-built obliques and a "greco-roman" midsection, in studies it is one of the highest rated most attractive/highest SMV muscle groups. You only get ugly blocky abs if you are on tons of drugs especially HGH and lots of roids and insulin lol.. not if you are natty or moderately roiding. 40% of front abs are literally obliques.

Tl;dr Training obliques is worth it and guys thinking obliques are ugly/low SMV are COPING.

Well.. I don't recommend training them heavy, sore obliques are one of those muscle groups that feel nasty as hell when they are really sore. Just train rectus abdominis too as focus but it is a good idea to do a little bit of obliques too
