I know this might be a low-IQ question and that I should probably ask a doctor instead, but I wanted to post here first in case someone with experience on this topic can share some insight.
About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with subclavian vein thrombosis Faktor-V . I’m currently on Eliquis (apixaban) 5 mg twice daily.
My main question is, is it possible to take testosterone in my situation? I know testosterone increases hematocrit and makes the blood thicker, which could raise the risk of new blood clots.
Has anyone here dealt with something similar? Is there any safe way to use testosterone (e.g. very low doses, different form, with extra monitoring, etc.), or is it simply not recommended at all while on blood thinners?
Thanks in advance.
