People living near the arctic traditionally consume alot of fish though, cold water fish especially happens to be high in vitamin D. Maybe that works as a good balance for the lack of sunshine during the year.

but they become high serotonin soulless people and sun not just vitamin d it sets clocks and cycardian rhythms, encourages breeding behaviour etc
