Introduction
Ultrasonic/Ultrasound Cavitation is the use of ultrasound technology to break down fat cells, targeting fat directly. It is a non-surgical procedure and really gatekeeped, it has really high potential.

Process of UC

This procedure involves applying pressure on fat cells through ultrasonic vibrations. The pressure is high enough to make the fat cells break down into a liquid form. The body can then get rid of it as waste through your urine.

The broken-down fat cells go from the body to the liver, where they are excreted as waste.

How it works

Ultrasonic cavitation tones the body using radio frequencies and low-frequency ultrasonic waves. These waves form bubbles around fat deposits under the skin. The bubbles then burst, breaking the fat deposits into the interstitial and the lymphatic systems where they are drained. The fat deposits are changed into glycerol and free fatty acids. Glycerol is then reused by the body while free fatty acids travel to the liver and are excreted as waste.

Session duration and how it lasts

6-10 sessions are required for ideal results (1 session per week), significant changes can be seen after 3-4 sessions. Results last from 6 months to 1 year. You need to buy a UC machine for the sessions or get it done from a clinic.

Risks of using it on buccal fat pads
Ultrasound Cavitation is mostly safe on the body, but facial use carries higher risk. It should be done carefully, at low intensity, with proper training. Some risks are given below:
1. Uneven fat loss/contour irregularities: can create lumpy or asymmetrical cheeks.
2. Over-thinning of superficial fat: may make cheeks look gaunt or aged.
3. Skin laxity/sagging: especially if skin elasticity is poor.
4. Nerve or tissue irritation: facial nerves are close to the surface.
5. Redness, swelling, tingling: usually temporary, but excessive energy increases risk.

Results
Results are attached, the person here is antonioverada. The only person who has promoted the use of UC in the bp space and the results are insane. Results on face are not widely available since this is mostly used by women to target reduce fat on their body instead of their face.

Microcurrent therapy isn't really useful on buccal fat, and the prices depend on how you do it, if you do it from a clinic it will be fairly cheap per session but if you buy a machine that will be more expensive.

mm i bought a microcurrent thingie for like 50 bucks and its good at what it does. havent used it long enough to notice fat disintegration or wtv its called but i doubt it does much for it. ill look into uc, good thread op.

Usually $40-150 per session (depending on country) and like $300-18k for machine depending on how good it is (home use, industrial use, professional use etc.). Recommended for over 18 since your fat distribution is still developing before that.

JUST tried this; felt it microbubble cavitation in my buccal fat pads through the inside of my cheek with my tounge. Like the fat in my face was heating up and creating cavities within the fat cells; bizarre feeling but safe to say it will work over the weeks. What OP and AstroSky said was true; do not overdo it; and absolutely mask off bony areas of the face or else your ears will ring for hours. Over-hydration and lymphatic drainage are key; staying at a caloric deficit and exercising regularly helps as well. Will make my own post of results if this works as well as this thread claims.

Can u use it to remove hyoid fat ? :geek:

Which machine u got?
I personally have been using this machine with mild success. Originally got it off amazon for around $180 but I've been unable to find it on amazon anymore, any machine with the flat head device works flawlessly.

The advice to tape off bony areas isn't very necessary if you're targeting areas that aren't bony; what I've been doing is holding my jaw open and pushing my tongue against the machine through my cheeks. Though this works for the zygomaticus major or cheek areas, however, for the zygomaticus minor area (around your cheekbones or zygomatic bones) it's best not to over-do it. If done for too long like I did during my first session, you will experience Hypoacusis which is fullness, muted or muffled sound entering your ears, caused from disrupting and inflaming your cochlea or inner ear. This goes away within a day or two especially if you're young but be weary of such.

My experience thus far:

I've dropped from 230lbs to around 190 over the past 9 months with the "hollow cheek" effect being noticeable since around 200-205lbs, even with a shitty diet. My cheeks aren't as hollow as when I was 150lbs "fasting" on smoothie king for days on end each week but it's certainly more pronounced in the right lighting than at 230. Finally able to see my masseter muscles from the front whenever I clench my jaw. I've been doing one session per week missing a few here and there but it seems to inadvertently increase the ghrelin hormone even whilst using GLP-1's which are meant to suppress and regulate it. Not very noticeable or empirically provable but I would claim that it has made me hungrier. A few other side effects I've experienced other than an inflamed cochlea or redness/burning (when not enough conductive gel is used) have been flaring up pimples. Since this machine literally "cavitates" through your hypodermic layer to your muscles; it's obvious that any imperceptible pimples might flare up once hit with it. I'm going to be more disciplined in my use and stick to a week to week use-case along with a protein-heavy caloric deficit. If the results by the end of this year are significant I'll be sure to post an update with pictures. It's important to try to stick to a nutrient dense liquid diet 8-12 hours before and after each session along with lymphatic drainage (with a gua sha) afterwards. Not sure if it's already stated here but unless you're severely overweight and have places that aren't close enough to your bones, I wouldn't recommend using this on any other part of the body as you will experience hypoacusis, "feeling" the vibrations throughout your entire skeletal system therefore inflaming your cochlea. The machine isn't magic; it simply breaks down fat cells and it's contradictory to eat fatty foods before or after such; making your body redeposit fat into places where the cells are already broken down. Here is a video for reference so the reader has an idea of what is going on beneath the skin:
