its most likely your surgeons fault, @RealSurgerymax hasn't done anything wrong

Why haven’t u replied to that Chip dude yet? Whom u designed his infra and supraorbital implants?
Because a lot of it is not true or exaggerated, and it can’t be proven the user is who they say they are.
• Everyone is warned about risks of surgery and always has been. Verbally in addition to the consents signed.
• Photographs would show the implants were not oversized at all, but he doesn’t want to post them, just talk about it. And of course I can’t/won’t share them without consent. Again there is no proof to me this is the case alleged. Wouldn’t that be a loophole for people to find out protected information - just make a post claiming to be that patient on another platform to elicit a response.
• People can message me privately after their surgeries and I have only went out of my way to be as helpful as possible but some people don’t appreciate our efforts. There is only so much I can do as the designer. Mostly just be emotionally supportive and suggest seeing other specialists.
• The surgeon alleged is the most experienced of all my partners and has no other complaints of nerve disturbance causing true symptom burden that I know of. Of course some numbness and tingling is expected and forewarned about - most people don’t even care. And EVERY surgeon has complications if they are experienced. If surgeons and other professionals career is damaged over rare unfavorable outcomes then there would be no doctors, no nurses. Prolific surgeons who have touched countless lives with incredible outcomes also have a fraction of patients with bad outcomes who probably see them as monsters because of factors out of anyone’s control.
• No one can say what a patient feels or does not feel and if they truly feel unbearable pain in their face then that is rare as rare can be and I am sorry that happened. But all that we can do is move forward and look for ways of managing it. Blaming is not going to help and when relationship gets severed.
• Some people have a bad mindset for surgery and it’s near impossible to screen
• Complications aren’t the end of the world and since we are experienced of course we have had some (all my doctors including the ones in USA. Everything from Masseter dehiscence to infections) and it’s not a secret. We are still here to help and almost always get them to a good final point in the end. Only one lost our trust way too early (for example removing implants before the swelling is even gone.)

Of course there is even more but the rest is too sensitive and out of respect I won’t go into it. It’s not appropriate to go in more detail or respond to him on a public forum. But because of the unfair damage it’s caused that is my only & last response about the incident alleged on the forum.

RSM's statement

I’m not shitting on RSM. The design was bad and he ghosted me a ton of times during the process and was super unprofessional, but I believe he means well.
I am moreso trying to warn people of the true nature of the surgery. Implants are not a fix-all solution. There can be extreme side effects as happened to me. Your face may and probably will never feel the same again. Bimax is safer.

The whole point of your OP was that RSM didn’t warn you about the possible nerve damage. He says he and the surgeon absolutely did. In addition, you consented to these risks in order to actually have surgery. Which, by definition means you agreed to understanding them.

You’re basically claiming that RSM lied to you, poorly designed your implants, and acted unprofessionally. All of this while at the same time claiming you’re not trying to “shit on” him. Idk man, in my world being labeled a liar is pretty offensive.

You’re also advocating that bimax is “safer” than implants, jfl. I genuinely feel bad for your situation if true. But, you’re being a hypocrite every time you come on looksmax to yap your mouth. Contradictions are the enemy of truth. Get your story straight. Either go after RSM for “lying” or stick to the “omg boyos implants are bad” activism pipeline.

can you post the implant design

If you can’t provide proof then it’s LARP

How long ago was it? I had bimax and luckily had no nerve damage other than some teeth numbness that doesn’t bother me. I really hope time heals both of us but it’s looking bleak.
How long ago did you have yours?

Who was the doctor? How was his reputation and experience?

is it over for my surgery dreams

@RealSurgerymax Thoughts on this?

How is bimax riskier than implants
Bimax is an irreversible cutting through bone, with much higher risk of infection and room for a surgeon to fuck-up, in comparison to a relatively non-invasive reversible placement of an implant.

e.g. patients aren't allowed to eat hard foods for 3 months after bimax, and it can take up to a year to see the full result, while with implants you can eat normally within a week, and you have the final REVERSIBLE (if you don't like it) results after 6-8 weeks.

@RealSurgerymax

Since the implants you designed were placed over a year ago, I have had life-altering nerve issues. I have spoken to three neurologists who say this is permanent.

There isn’t a single spot in my supraorbital or infraorbital regions on both sides that feels normal. Every spot is either numb or extremely hypersensitive, to the point where I cannot touch my face or live life in any sort of comfort. There is a feeling like bugs crawling all over my face 24/7. Gabapentin is not helping.

I don’t want to kill myself but I am on the edge and might have to. What the fuck am I supposed to do? Removal did nothing to help. Why did you not warn me of this? Why why why. I’m fucking hopeless man.
Bump i always said this nigga surgeon is full of shit
