By no means is this medical advice. Even though the risks are relatively low, everyone is different and some people may respond to this differently than others (although as I said, the majority should be fine).

"Wait, have you had a nose job?",
two girls that I met at a casino asked me as I got talking to them.
I was very pleasantly surprised to hear that because, although I knew that this method works, I did not realize, until then, just how much my nose has ascended thanks to it.

Hence,

I present to you, by far, one of the most underrated looksmaxes on this forum.

The reason why I'm making an updated version is not only due to what I've said above, but also because I have learned a lot more on this topic since I've made the original thread.

Hydrocortisone Info:

I have already talked about this in the first thread, but I will repeat it anyways in a concise way:

Hydrocortisone (HC) is a topical corticosteroid (again, no, not the "scary" anabolic/androgenic steroid for any giga high inhibcels) used to treat inflammation, redness, swelling, etc.

One of its side effects is thinning of skin, which is exactly why it is so effective when it comes to shrinking your nose.

Potential Side Effects of 1% Hydrocortisone (uncommon, mild):

- Skin atrophy (1)
- Rosacea-like eruptions (1)

If you experience any of these, take a break or hop off for good.

Proper Usage of Hydrocortisone:

Apply two pea-sized drops of 1% hydrocortisone cream onto your nose and spread evenly around the cartilage, including the bottom of the nose. I recommend you do not go above the tip of the nose and onto the nose bridge, as we do not want skin thinning there, as it can make the dorsa more prominent. Rub the cream in thoroughly, after which, remove any excess HC from around the nose, but do keep a layer of it on the desired area for about five minutes, then take that off as well. After a few minutes, if not straight away, water may start leeching out of the top of your nose, which is technically a good thing, so just keep wiping it off, that should persist to up to 15 minutes. The effects of hydrocortisone should last for up to an entire day.

Hydrocortisone Regimen:

Get your body used to it. First, apply the cream for two weeks straight, once a day, no matter what. Results most likely won't be very significant from the very first time you apply it.
After that is done, only apply it when you need your nose to shrink, such as when you're going out.

Hydrocortisone's Effects on Your HPA Axis:

If you want to know exactly what you HPA axis is, go look it up. In short terms, it is a system of glands that regulates your stress response and involves the following organs:

Some people have asked me things along the lines of "but xnj, what about you HPA axis, won't that get fucked with while you're on it?".

So here is the answer to this question:

Hydrocortisone raises cortisol. However, one may think that it does not do it to an extent, especially in such low, almost negligible dosages, where it has some sort of effect on the rest of your body, right? Wrong. After prolonged use, your body will feel the slight change and will adapt to it, potentially causing you a bit of trouble.

Preserving Your HPA Axis:
Since HC raises your cortisol, we need something that lowers it. Here is where Ashwagandha comes into play. You know how people claim it has "testosterone-boosting" effects? Well that is the case because it lowers your cortisol (which is what can stagnate test production, hence the claims).

Take 500-800mg (depending on your brand's dosage per pill)
right before you apply the cream. You can keep doing that for about 8 weeks, after which I suggest you take a 4-week break from ashwagandha, whilst also slightly lowering your HC usage. After that, you can resume just as usual.

Since I've mentioned it in my first thread, I will not be giving any in-depth advice on retinoids in this thread, as all you need to do to make your nose shrink from them, is follow their usual regimens. All I'm going to say is that it does shrink the nose in most cases, however not all skin complexions/conditions are predisposed to said shrinkage. But whether to use it or not - is up to you. Take a dermatologist's advice, or at the very least, find reputable threads here if you do want to use it (I'm on about general usage btw, not exclusively for the nose).

You little retard, hydrocortisone on nose gave me a massive sinus infection and then permeant nose hairs lol
Hair growth is a legitimiate side effect lol not sure why OP is dismissing your case. It's a rare side effect especially when applied to the nose but it most definitely can happen.

you can try and mix 0.5 hydrocortisone with clobetasol and betamethasone for fatser and more noticeable effects but the side effects such as redness irritation and other things would be worse, this is what im gonna do

i was thinking of trying that. my method is definitely the safest, but i do wonder what would happen if you use other corticosteroids instead

  • Skin Thinning: Hydrocortisone thins the skin over time, which can make the nose look worse in the long run (more veins showing, uneven texture).
  • Rebound Effect: When you stop using it, the swelling can come back, sometimes worse than before.
  • Rosacea & Irritation: Prolonged use can trigger rosacea-like breakouts or skin sensitivity.
  • HPA Axis Disruption: Long-term hydrocortisone use can mess with your body’s stress hormone regulation, leading to fatigue, poor sleep, and other issues.
  • Permanent Damage: If the skin thins too much, it might not recover fully, leading to permanent redness or visible capillaries.
this is why you do it forever , every morning, skin atrophy is what we want to achieve brah

Done more research and the overall increase in the speed of aging is noticeable unless u have extremely wide nose don’t do this you are making urself more susceptible to uv rays smile lines (since the skins thinning and the skin’s elasticity decreasing makes the risk of the fat on your cheeks to sag down and create an older look which includes smile lines) will increase you also might get crepey skin I would recommend using other supplements and products to increase skin elasticity to decrease the risks of this happening

(B&A's at the end alongside some other stuff)

Hydrocortisone Info & Proper Usage
Preserving Your HPA Axis
Quick Word on Retinoids (see spoiler)
My Progress & Testimonials

My Progress & Testimonials:

My progress so far, although it looks even better IRL:

i was thinking of trying that. my method is definitely the safest, but i do wonder what would happen if you use other corticosteroids instead
bro wouldn't this also be beneficial for thinning the thick skin long term? Due to the fact that it is a gen side effect of the product.
