By no means is this medical advice. Even though the risks are relatively low, everyone is different and some people may respond to this differently than others (although as I said, the majority should be fine).

"Wait, have you had a nose job?",
two girls that I met at a casino asked me as I got talking to them.
I was very pleasantly surprised to hear that because, although I knew that this method works, I did not realize, until then, just how much my nose has ascended thanks to it.

Hence,

I present to you, by far, one of the most underrated looksmaxes on this forum.

The reason why I'm making an updated version is not only due to what I've said above, but also because I have learned a lot more on this topic since I've made the original thread.

Hydrocortisone Info:

I have already talked about this in the first thread, but I will repeat it anyways in a concise way:

Hydrocortisone (HC) is a topical corticosteroid (again, no, not the "scary" anabolic/androgenic steroid for any giga high inhibcels) used to treat inflammation, redness, swelling, etc.

One of its side effects is thinning of skin, which is exactly why it is so effective when it comes to shrinking your nose.

Potential Side Effects of 1% Hydrocortisone (uncommon, mild):

- Skin atrophy (1)
- Rosacea-like eruptions (1)

If you experience any of these, take a break or hop off for good.

Proper Usage of Hydrocortisone:

Apply two pea-sized drops of 1% hydrocortisone cream onto your nose and spread evenly around the cartilage, including the bottom of the nose. I recommend you do not go above the tip of the nose and onto the nose bridge, as we do not want skin thinning there, as it can make the dorsa more prominent. Rub the cream in thoroughly, after which, remove any excess HC from around the nose, but do keep a layer of it on the desired area for about five minutes, then take that off as well. After a few minutes, if not straight away, water may start leeching out of the top of your nose, which is technically a good thing, so just keep wiping it off, that should persist to up to 15 minutes. The effects of hydrocortisone should last for up to an entire day.

Hydrocortisone Regimen:

Get your body used to it. First, apply the cream for two weeks straight, once a day, no matter what. Results most likely won't be very significant from the very first time you apply it.
After that is done, only apply it when you need your nose to shrink, such as when you're going out.

Hydrocortisone's Effects on Your HPA Axis:

If you want to know exactly what you HPA axis is, go look it up. In short terms, it is a system of glands that regulates your stress response and involves the following organs:

Some people have asked me things along the lines of "but xnj, what about you HPA axis, won't that get fucked with while you're on it?".

So here is the answer to this question:

Hydrocortisone raises cortisol. However, one may think that it does not do it to an extent, especially in such low, almost negligible dosages, where it has some sort of effect on the rest of your body, right? Wrong. After prolonged use, your body will feel the slight change and will adapt to it, potentially causing you a bit of trouble.

Preserving Your HPA Axis:
Since HC raises your cortisol, we need something that lowers it. Here is where Ashwagandha comes into play. You know how people claim it has "testosterone-boosting" effects? Well that is the case because it lowers your cortisol (which is what can stagnate test production, hence the claims).

Take 500-800mg (depending on your brand's dosage per pill)
right before you apply the cream. You can keep doing that for about 8 weeks, after which I suggest you take a 4-week break from ashwagandha, whilst also slightly lowering your HC usage. After that, you can resume just as usual.

Since I've mentioned it in my first thread, I will not be giving any in-depth advice on retinoids in this thread, as all you need to do to make your nose shrink from them, is follow their usual regimens. All I'm going to say is that it does shrink the nose in most cases, however not all skin complexions/conditions are predisposed to said shrinkage. But whether to use it or not - is up to you. Take a dermatologist's advice, or at the very least, find reputable threads here if you do want to use it (I'm on about general usage btw, not exclusively for the nose).

hydrocortisone is very very weak compared to other corticosteroids , since OP already had a skinny nose that most of bignosescels here in this forum dream for it , thats why hydrocortisone was enough for him , people with big noses in this forum need something more potent and stronger and effective than hydrocortisone , me and @2marc1 been using bethamethasone which is way way way way stronger than hydrocortisone and didnt notice any changes , for people with big noses i recommand you to use a way more potent corticosteroid like bethamethasone atleast

I've noticed decent results with hydrocortisone. My skin is oily causing pore buildup in the nose. like how lipolab dissolves the fat, is there any injection that just minimizes pores?

retinoids like tret shrink pores
i think thats their main mechanism with which they shrink noses too

Most people? Most people don't have underlying skin problems. If "most people" is quantifying over the people who are taking a fucking pill because they in fact do have underlying skin problems, well no shit, again, they're seeing good results in contrast to a preexisting skin problem. In other words, this "new nose" is not new or changed but instead their genuine non-inflamed nose. Hardmaxx or cope.
