Using Topical Isotretinoin During Accutane Regimen

boys i have a couple of .025 and .050 isotret tubes laying around and i was thinking about using them to improve the scaring on the cheek area. has anyone tried this before, and how did it worked for you

If you already have the tubes then give it a try. It’s not necessary but there are some who say it’s beneficial because you’re attacking your skin from both sides. My opinion is that you don’t need it, the accutane is strong enough and you don’t want to destroy your skin. Just see how the accutane affects your skin. If it’s fine then you can incorporate tret. Just make sure you’re not pushing yourself. Skin things take time

yeah like other guy said u could give it a shot depending upon ur skinbarrier, maybe try 0.25 tret and see, if it gets turbo irritated u could just hop on it once ur done with accutane too

Tret is weaker and has more side effects than Taz. Therefore, you should be on Taz, try starting on .05

You should stick with one ingredient. If you start with Taz, then you die with Taz

Tretinoin is better for collagen than isotretinoin, at least that's what the studies suggest. If you're using a low/"Hollywood" dose of isotretinoin indefinitely then it's probably worth doing the tretinoin as well. Since you're on 40mg isotretinoin ED, I wouldn't use tretinoin until after treatment.
