I thought about pursuing a work as a welder, cuz its simply well paid and i need to save some money for my buissness and crypto ideas, but im really corncerned that all that gas and dust from metals and steel will fuck up my skin, brows, lashes, hair and turn me into an uglycel, which i am already, but i dont want to look even worse ofc
Is there reason to be worried? Can i become a chad after pursuing job as a welder?

Welders always wear masks so that would protect you from most of the effects, but still I am sure that some of the gases and metal particles and shit will always get to your skin. If you are that worried about your looks I would avoid jobs like that entirely, always having to work outside in the sun, getting all kinds of cuts and burns and bruises etc. Better get a job working inside

Working inside all day Infront of a computer and blu light and shit is a looksmin and stressor aswell, keep that in mind. People who work outside in the sun all day have less chance for cancer then people working inside, even for things like skin cancers.

Some welders i see at work have fucked up skin, because of sparks etc.
About gases. It depends on how well your work space is prepared. Does it have efficient ventilation, does your mask are good quality, filters are exchanged often etc.
Do you have many other welders around you? The thing i noticed is that when one welder is working, other welders around him dont wear masks
One more thing - some welders dont work in ergonomic positions.

To sum this up - IT DEPENDS
Also remember about awful smell.
