obviously the palate expander is used to widen the dental arch and expand the maxilla laterally, but I’ve heard there’s a lot of negatives to it. Such as wider nose and ur eyes looked closer set. I’m going to get one soon and I want to know what the negatives of palate expander are as I’ve already got a wide nose and I don’t want it more wide. Also does it forwardly from maxilla? Or have any illusion to make the midface look shorter?

gap teeth also is one i think

Nose doesn't get wider at all basically, I had it a couple of years ago and it barely changes your face. I didn't really need it that much though. It did help straighten out a tooth that was crooked because of lack of space between two teeth and while initially the gap was in the middle it then disappeared. I had braces concurrently and I now have a slight space between my right canine and incisor which is not very noticeable.
I do have to wear a plastic Invisalign-like thing at night though.

So no extra width of the nose? Wow. Did your ipd change? More forward growth. Was it worth it? Sorry for the questions it’s just that I’m actually gonna get one soon.

Honestly if your dentist says to get one just get one. It's a bit of suffering (I was used to keeping my tongue at the top of my mouth since I was a kid and I would wake up with scars thanks to the metal of the expander). I can't answer the ipd and forward growth questions because I hit puberty really late so I wouldn't know to attribute the changes to the expander or just growing up.
I think it was worth it, even just for having a wider smile it's worth it honestly. You might think that it's not when you have it in and you have to crank it every day, and your tongue hurts constantly, but if your dentist says you need it, you should get it.
I had the one that hooked up to your teeth btw.

It's complex stuff. but at large, any expander that is not anchored to the palate itself is crap

I talked to my dentist at the time and he said that as long as the top of your mouth hadn't fused yet it changes nothing. If it didn't work then my teeth would be at an angle and they aren't so....

You had to take a before and after ct/cbct scan to see what really happened.
sometimes it drags the teeth itself slightly out of the bone. you can't see that with your eyes.
