Traditional marxism is often based on some interpretations of Marx, mostly Leninism and Stalinism. Neomarxism still considers Marx's views on history and modes of production as true, while revisiting and/or complementing some of Marx's assumptions with more modern views developed by Marxists who came later such as Habermas, Adorno, Gramsci and Baumann.
