IMO if you can grip body hair in your fist, it's way too long, and unsanitary. So trim all that.

Some guys like to shave their whole body. That's too high-maintenance for me ATM, but it's fine if you have the time.

Torso, back, shoulders, neck all should be purged, I shave down to a bite below the waist line and trim pubic hairs rather than outright shaving them. Leave the legs and arms.
