But you can have a narrow palate but in a u shape or v shape why does it end up one or the other

V shape means you sucked your thumb or if you swallow ina wrong way like pressing your tongue on palate and sucking on it as you swallow. If you get MSE it will widen your palate+ teach you how to swallow correctly because it forces your tongue to remain down when you swallow.

I never sucked my thumb and was breast fed for like a year. Maybe because I used to rest my tongue against my teeth.

My palate isn't super narrow but bad shape

probably pacifier, also nutritunial defincies, false or not enough usage of masticatory muscles
