feel free to prove me wrong about this, but I've been assuming that the height of the cut depends on how long your maxilla is, and if you had a longer maxilla, you'd likely get a cut that doesn't reach your nose. look at the connection with the noseIn the pic you showed, the philtrum is slanted at the same angle in the before/after
That's what I'm thinking, if your maxilla is slanted like that naturally but not so noticable due to being recessed, then you advance it forward it becomes more noticable as it presses more against the soft tissuemight be just linear advancement without rotation. looks like the angle stayed the same.
