What creates a "chimp" look & examples

Many people criticize because bimax supposedly create the infamous "chimp" look
From my understanding in which the upper maxilla lacks forwards growth compared to the newly forward brought mandible.

Do you have examples between a chimp look and a normal side profile?
Preferably on the same person so the difference is much more visible?

Implants should be able to counter this problem right

It's a racist idea. Most black people have bigger lips and they are going to have that look no matter what.

You would be wrong in the first point. That just makes the upper midface look flatter from profile (doesn't do anything frontally). Chimp look comes from too much maxillary protrusion (aka more advancement than needed). Ideally there should be a balance between maxillary projection (mainly the lip area) and mandibular projection but for most backgrounds the chin and mandible being slightly more forward (not enough to be an underbite though).

You avoid this by doing less than 5mm upper jaw advancement, 4mm is enough for 99% of people without severe underbites, and will give enough anteface without ruining your philtrum shape.

LF1 that has been advanced too much gives chimp lip, because it makes the middle part of the philtrum project more than the upper lip and nostril area, making philtrum from side profile convex as opposed to concave.

some of this is dictated by your frontal bone as well (you can have deep set eyes with negative orbital vector, for example) or genes (look at zygomatic breadth in Asians, or forward protrusion as well, or recessed infraorbitals in Indians)

but even then if you don't end up with a chimp side profile, it will still benefit to get infraorbital rim implants so the maxilla has a harmonious look where it all seems to have been brought forward.

Yes. the before pic is also a morph, my nose was moved ahead of my lips. My lips and chin protrude farther than my nose.
