I use an electric one because it's easier for me and not so tiring, you just have to run it along your teeth and that's it.

Have any of you ever looked into what keeps teeth healthier and whiter in the long run? Can an electric damage the teeth more than a manual toothbrush?

I use a manual, I just prefer it to electric.

I mean white teeth are not a sign of health. Just make sure you brush regularly and floss that should be enough to reduce any disease/rot.

No I dont think so.

water is fluoridised here also, so that could be something, i try to minimise exposure to beta chemicals of toothpaste

Mirin routine especially the oil pulling used to do that myself no idea why I stopped.
I hated it at first but now i do it while doing my skincare routine like a superset so no time will be wasted

Manual so I can brush as long as I want, electrical ones always get out of battery while I’m brushing

Take a teaspoon or 2 of coconut oil and pull that through your teeth for 10-20min. Have made neutral experiences with it and annoys me very much, i have to waste 10-20 minutes daily for it.

I use hydrogen peroxide 3% solution mixed with water as a mouthwash 1-2x daily for lasting fresh breath and white teeth. Btw. Hydrogen peroxide is also the main ingredient of most whitening products (like crest whitening strips).

Kills harmful bacteria and reduces inflammation, helps with bad breath, possibly whitening (but almost no studies available).
