IF UR A LAZY PIECE OF SHIT SKIP TO PART 3 FOR HOW

IQmaxxing is the new "niche" ive seen so this is how u can actually increase it no cope no bullshit just science
Iqmaxxing revolves arround increasing your IQ as you probably guessed by the name is the act of increasing IQ
Before you guys start spamming DNR in the comments because you think IQ is genetic and capped this isnt some underground unorthodox method with a 5% 95% chance it doesnt work and no studies behind it , Unlike many looksmaxxing methods such as Bonesmashing thumbpulling ect this is proven by a scientific study by people testing it out and not some In theory this should work bullshit.
Im surprised im the first to make a thread on this ive not seen anyone talk about it Im gonna split this thread into 3 different parts

1. b-b-but isnt IQ genetic you cant increase it?
2. Why would i want to increase my IQ in the first place
3. What is this holy method to increase my IQ? And how much will it increase it by?
4. How do i do this method

Part 1: B-b-but Isn't IQ Genetic? The Myth of the Hard Cap
While your baseline potential depends on your genetics your actual functual inteligence operates on neuroplasticity, The brain is a muscle and just like any muscle if you dont train it it atrophies the reason most peoples iqs' say stagnant after childhood isnt because its "physically impossible to change" (one google search figures that out LOL) its school stops challenging your fluid intelligence after a certain age so your not getting the sufficient cognitive input required for growth.
Clinical trials have proven that targeted, high-intensity cognitive training like what im going to show you can literally alter cortical thickness and rewrite neural pathways. You are not hard-capped.

Part 2: Why would i want to increase my IQ in the first place and why should i care
This is kind of a grass is green thing and anyone asking that question probably needs this thread but here we go into the reasons
1. IQ is the biggest determiner of success, wealth and financial stability.
To see how intelligence impacts daily life quality, career, and wealth, researchers frequently use the U.S. National Longitudinal Survey of Youth (NLSY).
  • The Findings: Meta-analyses and data from the NLSY show that IQ has a moderate-to-strong correlation (r = 0.30 to 0.40) with adult income.
  • The Dollar Value: Landmark economic tracking by researchers like Jay Zagorsky found that each single IQ point above average was worth roughly $200 to $600 in additional annual income. Furthermore, individuals with higher cognitive scores showed a significantly lower probability of ever falling into poverty.
just to put this into perspective the average iq is 98 the top 2% is 130 these people on average make 6400$ - 19200$ 10-30%more than people with average iqs. however you might be thinking yeah well why would i do this just to make 6400 more.

  • The Gottfredson "Complexity Continuum" (Occupational Sorting)
Dr. Linda Gottfredson, a leading researcher in cognitive epidemiology, published a landmark paper titled "Why g Matters: The Complexity of Everyday Life."

The Findings: Gottfredson mapped out occupations along a vertical hierarchy of "cognitive complexity." She found that human intelligence acts as a natural sorting mechanism across the job market.
    The Data:
IQ 110–120 (Top 25% to 10%): This is the baseline required to comfortably enter and compete in highly complex, self-directed professional roles (e.g.,
    managers, accountants, engineers, lawyers).
IQ 120+ (Top 10% and above): This range heavily clusters in executive leadership, advanced scientific research, and specialized fields where data is highly abstract and the environment changes daily.
The Logic: Jobs further up the hierarchy have fewer rules and higher ambiguity. They require you to look at a chaotic environment, catch on quickly, and make decisions without a manual. High IQ gives you the raw processing power to handle that complexity without burning out
IN SHORT HIGHER IQ = BETTER JOBS = MORE MONEY
Lets say you dont wanna read any of that well this is all you need to see
Here’s a graph that I found of IQ vs. US Household Income percentiles. In other words, this person looked up the percentiles for IQ and cross-referenced them with the percentiles for US Household Income.
Heres another graph what shows the strong positive corrlelation between IQ and SAT scores (Of course higher sat score = better chance of ivy league school which then = higher chance of higher pay common knowledge right

2. IQ is the best determiner of long term relationships and marriage
Of course looks get you in the door however IQ keeps you in the room this should be common knowledge to the people reading this thread and here are studies to back it up.

The most heavily studied relationship outcome tied to IQ is marital stability.
  • The Landmark Study: In The Bell Curve (using data tracking thousands of individuals in the US National Longitudinal Survey of Youth), researchers tracked the probability of divorce within the first 5 years of marriage.
  • The Data: Individuals scoring in the top tier of cognitive ability were significantly less likely to divorce within the first 5 years compared to those scoring in the bottom 60%. This effect held true even after controlling for parental background, age of marriage, and socioeconomic status.
  • Why it works (The Direct Mechanism): Research from Penn State University breaks down this stability into three cognitive skills:
Direction: High-IQ individuals tend to plan out big life decisions—like choosing a life partner—with a longer-term horizon rather than rushing in on raw, short-term impulse.
Adaptation: High fluid intelligence allows people to navigate complex conflicts, change their strategies when a relationship hits a rough patch, and actively problem-solve instead of shutting down.
Cognitive Decoupling: This is the ability to step back from raw, heated emotion during an argument and look at the situation objectively. Instead of blowing up the relationship over a temporary fight, they find a logical compromise.

When it comes to the actual likelihood of getting married in the first place, evolutionary and social psychologists have documented a stark difference between men and women.

  • The Findings: Massive population studies in the UK and internationally consistently show that higher IQ positively correlates with increased marriage
    rates for men
, but can show a flat or even negative correlation for high-IQ women.
  • The Male Premium: In the dating and marriage market, evolutionary and sociological pressures cause women to highly value intelligence in a male partner because it is the ultimate predictor of future resource acquisition, stability, and problem-solving capability. A high-IQ male signals high competence, making him highly sought after for long-term commitment.
  • The Female Bottle-neck: High-IQ women often face a more limited range of choices because hyper-intelligent women statistically prefer to marry a partner who matches or exceeds their own cognitive and professional level. Because they have incredibly high standards and are highly financially independent, they are far more selective and less likely to enter a marriage just for security. (hypergamy basically lol)

PART 3. How do i increase my IQ by an average of 23 points? like i claim (RELATIONAL FRAME THEORY)
you guys are probably thinking Mr random grey ive never seen on the forums before stop blueballing me and tell me how i increase my iq by an average of 19 points i only came here for that anyway this is all grass is green shit obviously higher iq = better jobs and relationships Well now i introduce you to relational frame theory, a method to increase your iq by an average of 23 points BACKED AND TESTED BY SCIENCE.

What is RFT and how does it work?
Relational Frame Theory (RFT) is a psychological theory of human language and cognition. Developed primarily by clinical psychologists Steven C. Hayes and Dermot Barnes-Holmes, it explains how the human mind is able to make massive leaps in learning, logic, and intelligence without having to experience every single thing firsthand.

Here is the exact breakdown of what it is and how the mechanics work:

1. The Core Concept: Relational Responding

At its core, RFT states that the building block of human intelligence is our ability to arbitrarily relate things.

Animals learn through direct experience (e.g., a dog learns that the sound of a whistle means food because they happen together). Humans, however, can connect things based purely on rules, language, and abstract logic. We can relate anything to anything else.

2. How It Works: The Three Properties

RFT relies on a mental process called Arbitrarily Applicable Relational Responding (AARR). Whenever your brain relates two or more concepts, it automatically triggers three specific logical steps:

  • Mutual Entailment (Bi-directional learning): If you are told that A is bigger than B, your brain automatically derives the reverse without being taught: B must be smaller than A.
  • Combinatorial Entailment (Network building): If you learn that A > B and B > C, your brain automatically hooks them all together into a network and deduces that A > C and C < A, even though nobody ever explicitly told you the relationship between A and C.
  • Transformation of Stimulus Functions (Changing meaning): The emotional or logical value of something shifts based on its place in the network. For example: If you are terrified of C, and you suddenly find out that A is ten times worse than C, your brain will instantly transfer that fear to A without you ever encountering it.

3. The Different Types of "Frames"

Your mind organizes these connections using different types of mental patterns, which RFT calls relational frames. Some of the core frames include:
  • Coordination: Saying things are the same (e.g., "Apple = Fruit").
  • Opposition / Distinction: Saying things are different or opposite (e.g., "Hot is the opposite of Cold").
  • Comparison: Quantitative scales (e.g., More than, less than, bigger, faster).
  • Hierarchical: Category structures (e.g., "A dollar is a part of a currency system").
  • Temporal / Spatial: Order and position (e.g., Before/After, Above/Below).
    1782408311428

    what the questions look like

4. Why RFT Directly Impacts IQ

Standard brain training games usually just test your working memory or reaction time—they don't make you fundamentally smarter.

RFT training (like SMART protocols) is different because it targets the core engine of human thought. It forces you to solve abstract, complex relational puzzles involving multiple frames at high speeds (e.g., "If X is opposite to Y, and Y is more than Z, is Z the same as X?").

By forcing your brain to rapidly derive these connections, you are essentially strengthening your fluid intelligence—improving your raw capacity for pattern recognition, logical reasoning, and abstract problem-solving.

If you dont want to read this is the study summarized

Experiment 1&2

1. The Setup

Researchers took 15 kids (aged 11–12) and put them through an intensive online SMART training protocol. The program forced them to rapidly derive abstract relations—like Same, Opposite, and More/Less. Their general intelligence was tested before and after using gold-standard standardized IQ tests.

2. The Raw Data

The results completely shatter traditional psychological cope:
  • Pre-Intervention Mean: 96.93 IQ (completely average baseline).
  • Post-Intervention Mean: 120.2 IQ (propelling the group baseline straight into the top 10% globally).
  • The Net Average Increase: 23.27 IQ points.

3. Individual High-Value Gains

This wasn't just driven by one or two lucky anomalies; every single participant blew past their original limits:
  • Participant 4: Started at an average 98 IQ and spiked a massive +32 points, finishing at 130 IQ (Gifted/Mensa tier).
  • Participant 11 & 14: Both recorded massive +28 point gains, jumping from low-92 baselines up to a high-tier 120 IQ.
  • The Floor: The lowest gain in the entire group was still a massive +14 points (Participant 12).

This completely disproves the cope i mentioned in part 1 that you're stuck with the brain you're born with. The training didn't look anything like the final IQ test, meaning they didn't just "practice the questions"—they literally upgraded their raw fluid processing engine by an average of over 23 points.

In the 2016 Maynooth University study, Experiment 2 was designed to test whether the exact same Relational Frame Theory (RFT) training protocol used on younger kids could also work on older adolescents and directly improve their school-level aptitude.

1. The Setup

  • The Participants: 30 students aged 15–17 years old.
  • The Training: They were put through the identical intensive online training intervention targeting abstract relations like Same, Opposite, and More/Less.

2. The Measurement (The Real Test)

Experiment 2 wanted to prove far-transfer. They tested the students using the Differential Aptitude Test (DATs). The DATs are highly rigorous, independent standardized tests used by schools to measure practical scholastic capability.
However you may be thinking wait i want to increase my IQ not get good grades well in experiment 2 they also take a test on the RAI (Relational Abilities Index) this is a different test to the DAT and is shown to be strongly correlating with IQ tests (https://mural.maynoothuniversity.ie/id/eprint/11786/1/RocheB_Proxy_2017.pdf study showing proof it correlates to IQ tests)

proof the RAI correlates to an IQ test for all the people who might say its cope Table B1 Column 1 the researchers ran it side by side an actual clinical IQ test the correlation is a massive 0.739 an r=0.74 means they are fundamentally the same underlying cognitive engine, the RAI shares a 54% match with the WAIS this seems small but compared to other iq tests it is not

3. The Results

  • While the students only showed an average increase of 0.72 SD percentiles on the DATs what test maths/english/science they showed an increase of 1.52 SD on the RAI which since the RAI and WAIS both on bell curves correlates to a you guessed it 22.8 iq point increase

4. How do i use RFT and the SMART Protocol to increase my IQ
The people who Created RFT figured it would be easier to advertise to parents who have children struggling in school Instead of Incels on looksmax.org anyways this is how to buy it, you might think its a scam because of the fact its tailored towards people in highschool, If you think its a scam look at the about of the website and look at who wrote the studies
To buy it you need to go to https://raiseyouriq.com/personal/ it cost 70 dollars for 6 months, Studies show semax upregulates BDNF expression maximizing synaptic plasticity in theory using it will increase gains

  • The Baseline (Day 1): Before the system lets you do a single training module, it forces you to sit down and take the RAI Assessment to establish your starting point. This is the 128-trial matrix that correlates heavily with the WAIS Full Scale IQ.
  • The 70-Stage Grind: Once your baseline RAI is logged, the platform unlocks the actual training blocks. It consists of 70 progressive stages that drill your brain on complex relational loops (Same, Opposite, More Than, Less Than) under a strict timer.
  • The Blocks: You cannot skip ahead. The system operates on a mastery gate—you have to hit a certain accuracy and speed threshold on Stage 1 to unlock Stage 2, all the way until you clear all 55 stages.

Is a 23 point increase even good?
a 23 point increase takes an average person from the 50% percentile to the 94% percentile a person with a 110 iq goes from above average to mensa level and the top 2 percent, Good is a very vague word but combine 123 iq with a 1 in 1000 or more face and boom suddenly ur statistical anomaly and ur life is better than 99% of people

Conclusion:
RFT and SMART protocol is a scientifically proven way to increase ur iq by an average of 23 points studies have tested it ect so if u want to live a better life have more success in relationships more success in moneymaking, and just a better life in general iqmaxxing is the method ive been researching these methods for 3 months now it just happens to be people are talking about iqmaxxing alot now i enjoyed making this thread Cya
this is my first ever guide ect so please rep me sorry if this looks ass LOL also im not gonna bullshit u i used AI for some of this the iq gains are real specifically for part 1 and 2

Dual N-back training is also quite good for iqmaxx, I wonder how it works in combination with this.

I can't believe I actually read this shit.

First of of all the sample size is 15 and second of all of course their IQ score will increase when they are trained on questions that mimic the ones on IQ tests. It doesn't even specify which indices were the ones that improved, I guarantee you it only affected FRI and maybe WMI amd PSI to a lesser extent while Verbal and spatial didn't change at all because they are completely different item types than the ones the kids were trained on. Or a good way to prove it would be to see how the grades of the kids changed because academic achievment correlates with IQ obviously. But they didn't do that because it didn't make a difference

This is a complete BS scam I hope nobody falls for it and actually pays 70 for it. I'm pretty sure the studies were payrolled by the person who is selling this RFT course because they realized there is a decent market for it.

1. 45 sample size in total in both experiments and this study has been recreated with control groups who did cognitive activities like chess and they recieved no gains while the people who did smart gained 19 points on average

    View attachment 5271888

    what the questions look like

SCIENTIFIC STUDY TO PROVE IT
https://www.psychologytoday.com/sites/default/files/lind.diff_cassidy_roche_et_al_2016_0.pdf
Read it if u want if u dont and just wanna see proof skip to experiment 2 u see it in the first page.

Decent thread but I feel that instead of paying for the RFT training (which as others here have already pointed out likely has some conflict of interest concerning the studies promoting it), why not pursue subjects at a high level that relational training is high in (eg. math, science, language learning, etc). Imo even doing high school level academics such as stoichiometry in Chem 11/12 would probably produce similar results, and you would be actually learning things that maybe even interest you.

I suppose that academic study relies on memory more than the RFT training based on the screenshot example of RFT questions in your post, but memory is also important, and higher levels of academics (in the appropriate subjects) will induce development in both memory and the core abstract/system levels thinking. Curious to hear your thoughts on this.

about the conflict of interest the studies were made in 2011 and 2016 respectively where as they only started selling it in 2023 not to mention it was funded by a university not a company the people who made it so no one stands to gain profit from It I'm so tired of this bs

about your point of studying higher levels of academics im pretty certain this wouldn't work as it only tests working memory and is reliant on content dependent rules where as the rft shows increases in spatial numerical verbal and rai scores it's also to mention things like calculus or chemistry don't make fluid intelligence they require it

in conclusion let's use physics for an example your remembering formulas instead of creating new synapses, long story short academics is mostly dependant on knowledge not necessary the raw speed of which you process meaning you guessed it, it won't nudge iq

in all fairness the people who ran the experiment had this same thought when they recreated it and gained 19 points there was a control group who did actives like chess sudoku and other things deemed to require cognitive effort

1. I see, I suppose that makes conflict of interest less likely.

2. Studying higher levels of academics doesn't "only" test working memory; subjects such as math, physics, chem, comp sci, even grammar in language learning all require the development of high levels of abstract thinking and the ability to relate many things to each other in webs. The only advantage of RFT is that it completely eliminates relying on memory as a crutch (possibly making it more time efficient for the skill it aims to develop within you) as it forces you to deal with nonsensical words, but as stated previously, certain subjects are not even close to pure memorization. Ofc the rules would be context dependant because they are a framework for real life but I just because the pieces your are playing with are grounded in reality doesn't mean that relating them to each other is ineffective for abstract thinking.

Also I don't really believe your claim that "calculus and chemistry don't make fluid intelligence the require it" that doesnt really make much sense. Why would RFT in isolation be some sort of holy grail, while applying relation framing principles to real life information not work at all? You can't have it both ways, the fact that academic subjects involve memorization of "things" doesn't mean that your brain cannot also build relationships between those "things". In fact, I would argue that they would be more effective because your brain never really uses one process by itself. If we look at it from a bodybuilding perspective RFT seems more like isolation training that complements traditional learning (heavy compound lifts cause your using multiple brain processes in tandem if that makes sense).

3. Truly learning physics (or any subject that is an extension of RFT) isn't just memorizing formulaes, and I think that this is where our main disagreement stems from. Yes, you can just memorize rearrange and derive formulaes and do pretty well, but I'm talking about taking the time to build an understanding of the processes behind those equations. An equation is just a relationship described using values instead of words. I do agree that physics at least in high school is probably on the lower end of RFT if your goal is simply to get a good mark and I think it's more of a flaw with the education system as a whole promoting memorization instead of deeper understanding. A better example of an RFT like subject would be chem I think (can't really memorizing your way through that shi with formulaes lol).

4. Ok but im curious as to what the results of a control group studying subjects with high levels of relationship framing and abstract thinking needed to suceed (math, chem, phys, etc) would look like. I never suggested that chess and sudoku would replicate the results that RFT or traditional academics (provided that you don't rely soley on memorization and attempt to build abstract frameworks to describe relationships between pieces of information) can, although I am a bit surprised that chess did not have much of an effect (maybe its because chess is actually mostly just memorizing different patterns? who knows lol. interesting to think about though).

Im gonna try keep this brief, from what i understand your arguement is Why would i do RFT when Academics can increase my IQ to similar levels. im gonna try my best to debunk your points they dont make much sense in my opinion
First of all you need to understand what do IQ tests Actually test you on?
Iq tests test you on ravens matrices (this is the shape questions u see online) And Vocabularity and Simularity subtests
50% Fluid inteligence (What rft trains) And 50% Crystalized Intelligence (Knowledge)
Now you may be thinking wait but science increases knowledge no? Well like i said IQ tests test for vocabularity and simularity subtests questions you may see would look like:
Define palliate, Pragmatic, Ominious
This shows IQ as your not born knowing what words like palliate and pragmatic mean you need to aquire it through knowledge this is the crystalized intelligence part and the simularity subtests are phrased like this :
"In what way are a poem and a statue alike"
Low iq answer would look like "they're both old"
High iq answer would look like "theyre both forms of artistic expression"
This shows high iq as to get full points your brain has to retrieve an overarching abstract framework ("artistic expression") from its stored mental library to link two completely different concepts together this is stuff chemistry physics ect simply cant hack

Also for the sake of yourself dont say then why dont all english teachers have 160 iq's cuz then ur just proving my point that stacking up mass ammounts of academic knowledge doesnt equal a high iq LOL

Chemistry physics ect is a form of crystalized intelligence you might be wondering ok but doesnt it increase fluid IQ like RFT
When you grind advanced academics your brain builds hyper specific localized shortcuts to process those chemical inputs, . That is the definition of building expertise but those shortcuts do not translate to iq gains . The second you take away the chemistry variables, the shortcut breaks, and your baseline processing speed is left exactly where it started.
In short to sum this up chemistry physics ect uses pattern recognition for those things only When you think whats 8x13 for example you know 8x12= 96 so u just add 8 to it you dont do 8+8 13 times in your head Your brain builds patterns for these types of things ill be honest im not the best at chemistry but theres lots of pattern recognition behind it but only for chemistry,

Long story short by ur logic every single teacher has an iq of 130 when the numbers prove this wrong (the avg iq of a teacher is 105)
ur probably thinking why does rft increase it then Just check the studies icba to explain grass is green shit

BY UR LOGIC TELL ME HOW EVERY CHEMISTRY TEACHER IN THE USA HAS AN AVERAGE IQ OF 130 WHEN THE NUMBERS SAY ITS CLOSER TO 105 AND BTW ABOUT MY POINT THAT HIGH LEVEL ACADEMICS ONLY REQUIRES IQ AND DOESNT INCREASE IT TELL ME WHY THE AVERAGE IQ DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIGHSCHOOL CHEM TEACHER (105) AND THE IQ OF A UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR (130) IS SO HIGH
