What the fuck should someone wear for parties or social gatherings ?

I usually go like this, this is what I wore yesterday. Add to that some grey joggers and shoes with lifts — I’m only 5’10 so I need them, don’t @ me. I feel like I dress like shit and I need help from you guys. My fashion sense is Reddit tier.
I’m going to the US in some weeks and will be able to buy good clothing, what should I buy? I need to make a good outfit to wear in these social situations.
I know fashion is usually cope but it can make you look more NT, which is something that I desperately need.
I’m 15 btw, so I can’t go around with luxurious clothes even if they’re fake. I don’t mind if something is expensive tho, I can afford it.

I was much worse when I joined this site. I’m not GL and the few good traits I have now are thanks to these forums.
