What to eat instead of wholegrains since fruit only restores liver glycogen not muscle glycogen?

Be nice if I got a serious answer because according to some on here you cant eat anything but meat lol however the whole anti nutrient thing with plants was really intelligent and made a lot of sense, wholegrains like bread, potatoes and oatmeal come up a lot when restoring muscle glycogen:feelswah:

Depends on whether you want to dirty bulk or clean bulk. Dirty bulking is cheap, clean bulking isn't. On a dirty bulk your energy (carbs, fat, protein) come from loads of cookies, chocolate, frozen pizza, ice cream etc., you will gain mass but it will largely be fat & your skin will look like shit and you will be very bloated in the face.

On a clean bulk you can restore glycogen from oatmeal, rice, etc. while only eating high quality proteins and vegetables.
Oatmeal and brown rice are good classic staple foods if you need carbs on a clean bulk.

Paleo and being in ketosis can work nicely for cutting body fat. I wouldn't want to live in keto forever though.
You would have to give up so many things in life.

My workout energy also diminishes significantly while on paleo. Body fat burns a lot faster though, as your body turns to your fat storages once carbs stop coming in.

Oatmeals have lectin and phytic acid but they are greatly reduced when you heat up the porridge.

I would not generally advise eating raw oatmeal like oatmeal bread unless the oats were heat-treated or milled.
Soaking also removes phytic acid almost completely.

It does take time to figure out and research which products are milled oat (which removes phytic acid) and which aren't.

Phytic acid can block the absorption of certain minerals, in other words it is an anti-nutrient. You want to reduce foods containing it.

I like the taste of oats, but I never eat raw oat products.
It is one thing paleo advocates got right, and the general population should be wary of eating too many raw or uncooked oat products.

It is pretty easy to make antinutrient-free oatmeal. You just need to soak it. Preferably in water and a tiny bit of lemon.

Are potatoes a good source of carbs?

Actually since we're on the topic of carbs could you tell me the best foods to obtain carbs from?

Are potatoes a good source of carbs?
They have a high glycemic index and don't have any meaningful nutrients besides Vitamin B6 and some C and potassium.

It's not poison but there are much healthier carbs out there.

Quinoa contains all the essential amino acids. Brown rice is a great alternative.

Any others?

White rice has a high GI right?
