It's not cope in terms of quality of the image. Not even because it flips it. It's that you get so used to your mirrored reflection that your fragile psyche deludes itself into thinking you look chad.

On the other hand, even that deluded image is closer to reality than what you see on pictures: shit quality, excessive self-critique and BDD, motionless.
