DISCLAIMER: The internet became oversaturated with AI bullshit and it's hard to find the right info online. Couldn't find any good info by searching on this shithole either.
I go the the gym 6x a week and lift weights FIRST every time. I train intense, doing 1-2 sets with 80-90% of my 1RPM, so my heart rate never dips below 100 throughout the weightlifting session. Now, for the last 4 days, I been hopping on the treadmill for about 20 minutes where about 60-70% of that time I run intensely. I didn't know about this until today, but there's these heart rate zones and shit and apparently I been running in ZONE 4 all this time and you're not supposed to be in ZONE 4 for more than 1-2 times a week but my body has been handling it just fine. Then there's this info that if your goal is fat loss then you should be in ZONE 2 which for me, is between 115BPM and 135BPM, and given that my heart rate is already elevated from weightlifting, I don't even need to be running, I should simply walk at a fast pace to be around 120BPM heart rate.
Should I stick with going into ZONE 4 six times a week if my body is able to handle? You end up burning more calories this way but "apparently" it dips into your carbs instead of fat reserves. OR I should simply walk fast and be in ZONE 2 because "apparently (thanks AI)" your body uses fat reserves to fuel this activity?
