When getting implants, listen to the surgeon

If you are designing your jaw/chin implants with a surgeon, be willing to take his recommendations/just follow what he says for the shape and size and such. I see alot of posts like "I want x in my implant but my surgeon says.." Obviously you want input but at the end of the day, the surgeon has spent years educating himself on the minutest details of the face while we just spend time on a half autistic website. He probably knows better.

Dont fuck yourself over by trying to do it all yourself.

Agreed the only issue is whether your surgeon thinks the gonians should be equal width to your zygos or narrower and whether you agree or not
Most will be conservative and say gonians should be narrower yet pretty much every cunt who foids worship that becomes famous off the back of their jaw has gonians equal to or even WIDER than their zygos
If I went through the effort of implants I would want them guaranteed to be equal by my surgeon

The problem is that most surgeons don't know much about implants - including the "famous" ones. I see your point, though.

Absolutely no. Surgeons may know how to insert the implant, but most of then are ignorants in design stuff. Do a lot of research before starting the design process with any surgeon

My recommendation with implants is back it off just a tad from what the doctor wants. Heck I would even run it past people here after all the uncanny results you see which are usually too big.

Yeah, I would say bigonial = bizygomatic width is good. I got implants from Dr. Y a few months back, and the bigonial is wider than bizygomatic atm. Getting revised by him to bring equal to bizygomatic width. Regardless I am getting lots of interest from people despite the excessive width.

I'd say equal bigonial - bizygomatic because its so rare and I think it gives you such an aesthetic edge over everyone. Makes you look like you are/or should be famous lol

I would say equal or 2mm less on each side. That's only if your bizygomatic width is average or above average. If your coming in with a narrow zygo width and they taper 2.5mm+ on each side your not going to be getting as much out of the surgery as you could have.

Is the swelling going down? Is it possible that your jaw width will be OK after swelling is gone?

surgeons don't want risks, so you have to push him to go farther for a better result, otherwise you'll get those subpar results, only a few top PSL surgeons know better

Yea, I agree. In my case with Dr. Y if I hadn't shown the references I did and just verbally said it, probably would of been too small. I ended up with too big, but hes gonna trim them down to the ideal.

I wanted the Mario Rodriguez, Toni Mahfud look. I got that, just a little too much where it looks kinda out of proportion with the first third of my head.

In certain lighting it's obvious. But from afar you can't tell it's too big, so I have no issue going out in public. Also, with some stubble the extra width gets 'hidden' and God dang it looks great. It's like whenever I shave I'm like "Way too big" and then when stubble comes in it's like "Oh yes, looks great". Not gonna lie aside from the extra width and the problematic side I now have the face structure of Rodriguez and Mahfud and getting a nice nice ogee curve.

However, it will be sooo much better when trimmed. The excessive width and the wider side takes away from it. If both sides were equal it would be major improvement.

But even with that (not to be a narcissist) I NEVER see anyone around with higher PSL. Not even close.

Definitely. My jaw was pretty good before, but it wasn't model tier. I didn't think it would be perfect on the offset, whose ever is? But that's what the trimming is for - it'll be spot on then. Again, waiting longer so Dr. Y can be informed (minimal swelling) and nail it.

Legit, this is why the surgeon needs to be blackpilled on the fact that the majority of guys who get e famous simply for their jaw get that recognition because they have gonian width that is so rare
The surgeon I'm getting jaw surgery from also does implants but I don't think I'll get implants with him because he seems conservative and unwilling to accommodate/consider the patients requests.
If a foreign object is going to be stuck in your face for life why not get the width that you will find the most appealing, sure the design might not turn out exactly how you hope when it's on your face but the width of the implant is the most predictable aspect so if that is how you wanted it you can't really complain

I have a folder with images of celebs who got famous for their excessive gonian width and also nobodies who got e famous for their gonians despite relatively average facial features
