Why do attractive people seem to be funnier?

I’ve noticed that attractive people often seem to get more laughs, even when they’re saying something pretty average. Is it because people are more receptive to humor from someone they find attractive, or do attractive people actually tend to develop better social skills and humor?

It's also a positive feedback loop. If somebody is better looking, they get more attention initially, which causes them to be more confident in their jokes meaning that they become funnier over time
