Whenever a good surgery result is posted users will say that the surgery doesn't make them a slayer so it is a failure. This makes absolutely zero sense. The percentage of results that will bring someone 2-3 points on the out of 10 scale is incredibly rare and is honestly a pipe dream. Users will say a surgery like bimax isn't worth it when the whole point is to correct someone's forward growth to at least the average range which is required to be aesthetic. Even if the surgery adds 1 IRL point that should be considered a win seeing as most people will lie anywhere from 3-6/10 range in my eyes. It's the compounding effect of correcting flaws that is going to take someone from potentially below average to somewhat attractive to even in that 7/10 range. Obviously, this is no easy feat and you need not only the eye for aesthetics, money, doctors, and patience but over time by correcting these flaws you are on the way to becoming attractive.
