All of the major companies were not founded before 1900s
Since the Industrial Revolution that’s when it feels history just began in the last 100 years

Because you're uneducated.
The industrial revolution started in the mid 18th century.

Because our present-day reality is historically something extremely new and exceptional in the grand scheme of human history, which theoretically shouldn't also last too long into the future (we should have some events that should fucked up everything we have now in the next 30-50 years, if not sooner)

We have no history because literally nothing has happened + a lot of information about events in certain locations has been lost in the course of history through destruction or lack of preservation

As an idea, in ancient times life expectancy was 25 years, in the Middle Ages 35, in the pre-industrial period (only 300 years ago) it was 40, and in the 19th century before modern medicine it was 45

For many, many hundreds of years, the whole human species has been on repeat with the same activity every year and season (things like school or education was almost non-existent)

So all there was, was farming food for everyday & winter, prepared winter shelter and resources, look after the house, family members, wife and garden, and raising animals for meat (these things keep you busy from 5 in the morning until 11 at night, with no time for anything else) to be careful not to get sick because you were likely to die, to have as many children as possible because there was a good chance that many of them would die before they grew up, and that was pretty much it..

Life was much more linear and shorter, as an average dude you didn't have time to think about many things

And then there were those in the army / invaders, who left their homes / families, and basically sentenced themselves in the early 20s to death, trying to conquer new territories that had new resources (90% of the time they failed or were not worth it, the damage was too big for the reward and effort, or they simply died trying)

The fact that today I can tell you this, a stranger from the other side of the planet, through a magic plastic screen, without having to be out hunting wild animals, is an abnormal and exceptional thing, which is not normality at all in historical terms..

Pretty poor, far fetched explanations.
They simply don't teach history before the 20th century anymore with the exception of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars in a very narrow context.

The average life expectancy was much shorter, true, but the average person also did a lot more in a shorter period of time.
18 year old boys would become the captains of ships during the Napoleonic wars.
