Going to the gym during puberty WILL actually make you shorter.

We all thought that it was a myth. That it was unfounded and already proven false...

However, this study actually tells us the opposite.
Compression will IMPAIR bone growth by decreasing enlargement of hypertrophic chondrocytes

Growth plate function can also be affected by physical mechanisms. Even relatively low doses of ionizing radiation, such as 10 Gy, can impair longitudinal growth.45 Mechanical compression across the growth plate also impairs bone elongation46 in part due to decreased enlargement of hypertrophic chondrocytes.47 It has been suggested that the inhibitory effects of compression on the growth plate contributes to progression of scoliosis and tibia vara (Blount’s disease).46 Similarly, physical compression is used clinically to correct limb length inequalities and angular deformities.48 The effects of dynamic load variation due to exercise in children has not been well established.49

then quit school,
actually sitting,
or standing compresses the spine much more.
so just hang upside down.

Plus you use all your nutrients on repairing muscular and cellular damage instead of growing taller vertically.

Lifted heavy weights with high intensity and improper form from 13. onwards.
I didn’t grew a mm since then.

Worst mistake of my life.

If anything going to the gym would support development through the high protein diet that gymcels love to eat:

More igf1 binds to the plate receptors —> chondrocytes multiply which then leads to them to mature and ossify.

those are things you can't easily afford to do, you will lose much more than what you'd win by doing so. So no point in doing what you said.

tell me how pull ups compresses the spine jfl,
it would even decompress.
your entire theory shattered by 1 excersice jfl

ever heard of putting ropes on bed frame and pulling legs?
that negates any spine compression.

im 100% serious.
you can litteraly decompress the spine during sleep, put jumping ropes on your legs, that pull towards bed frame.

its autistic asf but would get rid of this problem

I was just pointing out the lifestyle promoted by gym goers. I wasn’t trying to say only people who go to the gym can eat a high protein diet.

Probabaly only the things that compress spine, like squats, deadlifts, overhead press, maybe bench

But for me no because I do extercises for my posture

the method through which the body repairs muscle and bone growth is similar but different enough for this to not be a big deal

Well as long as you compensate by eating/sleeping more you SHOULD be fine
