I would say 2600 cals is a good start because you need to be eating clean to maximize lean muscle growth instead of just putting on large amounts of bf, you'll want to slowly up it as you get more into routine w lifting I'd say 2800. You will need to track everything, carbs before school and sports practice and lifts (clean carbs, fruit, sweet potatoes honey etc) and you need to have a small amount of carbs after training to maximize recovery (rice/breads) w some protein (chicken, lean ground beef/turkey or fish), don't listen to retards and hop on you'll stunt your growth.I’m pretty active since I play sports like American football and run track but I usually try to lift around the morning. My lift intensity I would say is pretty hard
