Why Is everyone overdosing vitamin C?

I understand vit C Is insane for collagen production and it Is water solluable vitamin therefore you should ideally take it daily or 2x a day (morning, night) but I have seen many ppl on here overdose it with 2000mg or even more, does it have any better effect than my 2x 150mg daily or Is it just a waste of money?

i think its just a waste unless youre deficient when youre taking 2000mg youre just pissing most of it out

idk too, ur body doenst store it, so taking 2000mg is useless

I mean Ur body can store the fat solluable form one but its more expensive and idk if it has much more benefits than water solluable one
