i can't keep my teeth together while i sleep and my bite is misaligned when i wake up. my fix is wearing a gauze while i sleep wrapped around my head

but im worried that the slight pressure on the side of my jaw + face will move bones incorrectly

is this a concern or am i stupid

Yes it will, constant backwards pressure on the bone will reccese your jaw
