will elastic braces recess me

i just got done with the active turning phase of my hyrax expander and 2-4 weeks from now im gonna get either elastic braces or self ligating braces depending on my bone formation and diastema and palatal width since self ligating braces do widen your palate a bit so they might not choose those braces and give me elastic ones and i was wondering if they recess or not ive seen people saying they do idk if theyre jestering or not

if you don't live in rajasthan you're dentist will know what he's/she's doing especially in europe or wealthy us states, also tell him you want visual effects
