I was a thumbsucker as a kid and at 13 I had 6 extractions + braces. My face is now sunken with really bad asymmetry( my nose is being pulled to the right cause of how bad the asymmetry is), rotated teeth/ misaligned bite and overall I just look munted. I went to a new specialist orthodontist who referred me to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and this is the treatment plan they came up with:

is it possible to reduce treatment time? I'm 22 and running out of prime time.

Jesus, so I, too, am going to have to wear braces for 24 months before I can get bimax? ffs

No ofcourse not, not if it's in preperation for jaw surgery
should I be telling the orthodontist specifics like wanting my arch widened teeth to show more teeth when smiling, more facial harmony ect? The last orthodontist screwed me over and didn't consider aesthetics at all.

Bring things up about aesthetics and see how they react. Like for instance tell them you are not happy with how wide your smile is, if they go like “Ahh its not that bad bla bla” you know they dont care about aesthetics.

yeah, I just might do that. Any downsides? Surgeon said doing braces first helps him predict where/how much to move the jaw.
downside is slightly less accuracy. upside is that u dont have to rot for 2 years like an aspie with braces and can instead get surgery then probably rock invisalign a few months afterwards.

can invisalign widen arches and correct alignment just as well as braces?

Thanks. I have some gaps in my teeth cause my palate grew, didn't wear my retainer + I started mewing after I last had braces. The new orthodontist wants to close those gaps, does that mean he's going to make my palate narrower? Won't my teeth form gaps again after mewing without braces again?
