Would getting quad LL plus wearing lifts and good shoes at 5'6 make me look too disproportionate?

Depends on how the rest of your proportions are. Do you have a long torso? Short arms? Wide bidelt?

Even then getting LL with lifts is bound to make you have very odd proportions because most of your height gain is going solely into your legs which will make you look alien-like.
