Would it be a good plan to take 50,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily for a short period to raise my vitamin D levels

I’m trying to raise my vitamin D levels and was considering taking 50,000 IU daily for 12–50 days, then testing my levels and switching to 2,000 IU daily for maintenance. Would this be a safe and effective approach? Has anyone tried something similar?

Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity.

It is because of the high levels of vitamin D on your blood test but if I managed to keep it 50-60 ng/mL I don't think this would cause toxicity if you know something that I don't please tell me

It's to raise my vitamin d levels to optimal for short period of time if i took 5000 IU forever this would cause toxicity anything above 4000 IU daily probably not safe
2000 IU is enough to maintain 50-60 ng/mL

No you need blood test its not worth shooting in the dark. Risk is much larger than the benefits

Yeah vitamin d benefits are not from the dosage it's from the vitamin d level in your blood test this what i'm gonna do every 12 days blood test until i get to 50-60 ng/mL
