I remember it like I was yesterday.....last time I ever cried.

It was October 14th 2008, 8th grade.


This is following being the only 8th grader who didn't make the middle school football team. We had a Fall Dance, and I asked out this girl I had liked for about a year at the dance. She laughed in my face and said "No Sorry", then not even 30 minutes later, my "friend", who was a 5'11 14 year old , with blonde hair, and also on the football team, asked her the same question as a "joke", she said yes and they dated for about 6 months following this.....

Anyway, after my parents picked me up, I went to bed and cried like a pansy for at least 2 hours until I went to sleep. It was a total humilation.

Luckily the tall blonde guy ended up getting expelled from school in high school and arrested twice in our 20s. The girl moved to cali, and I believe sang at a few live shows, she has a kid now

The key is to not have strong attachments/cravings for anything (yes, literally eveything) to begin with. Just know that everything in life is impermanent and expect to lose people and material items in your life. If something ends up sticking around, that's a bonus, not an expectation

Its hard to let go of attachment and i myself still am not completely done with it - (i hold attachment to my gf, friends, objects etc.)
